Julia Brewer

Qualifications: Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (Regent's University, London); Post-graduate certificate in evidence-based psychological therapies (University of Reading); Certificate in Humanistic Integrative Counselling (CPPD London); BSC (Hons) Psychology (University of Leeds).
Experience: With 10 years experience offering psychological therapy in the NHS, I am experienced in working with a wide range of issues including (but not limited to): anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship issues, life transitions, abuse and trauma, grief and loss, stress, self-esteem issues, suicidal thoughts, personality issues.
Specialising: I have extensive experience working with trans, non-binary and gender diverse clients and supporting clients who are exploring their gender identity and/or sexuality.
Therapy: As a Counselling Psychologist I am trained in various psychotherapeutic approaches and in therapy-related research. This enables me to draw on existential, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural and compassion-focused approaches, to find an approach that works best for you as a unique individual with unique life experiences.
My way of working is to explore with you your current difficulties, develop a shared understanding of how they may have come about and support you to find a way of moving forward. Fundamental to this and therefore my primary focus is developing a therapeutic relationship in which you feel safe, heard and accepted.

Janice Hardy - Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
Qualifications and affiliations: MBACP, Foundation Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Qualifications and affiliations: Post Graduate Diploma and certificate in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (University of Derby), B.Sc. (Hons) Psychology. Member of BACP. Currently completing a M.Sc. in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Therapy: As an Integrative therapist trained in Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Attachment Informed Therapy I can draw from a variety of methods and techniques, enabling me to offer a therapeutic style best suited to you and your individual needs/experience. As a therapist I offer professionalism, genuineness, warmth and non-judgment and will endeavor to build a supportive, respectful and confidential relationship, in which you feel heard, valued and safe to explore and discuss your thoughts, feelings, experiences and goals. I currently offer Online Counselling, face to face counselling and short and long-term therapy.
Experience:In addition to my private practice I have over 15 years experience working in the voluntary sector supporting individuals around their mental health. I have significant experience working with a wide variety of issues including; stress, anxiety, depression, childhood issues and abuse, postnatal depression and anxiety, parenting issues, self-esteem and confidence issues, relationship issues, self-harm, anger, abuse, Aspergers/autism, loss and trauma. I have 7 years experience supporting parents around their mental health and wellbeing. I developed and ran the Mums in Mind service in Coventry.

Qualifications and affiliations: BACP registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist - University of Warwick.
Specialising: I have a significant amount of experience working with clients who have experienced sexual abuse, domestic violence, depression, social anxiety, low self-esteem and bereavement. I provide in depth support for clients from a wide range of backgrounds and ethnicities and have a good awareness of differing cultural issues. I work with adults, students and teenagers and I have several years experience working within a university and school setting.
Therapy: As a Person Centred Counsellor, I will work closely with you. I will listen to you and be empathic and non-judgemental. You can bring anything that is affecting you to the session. I will work towards helping you to feel less anxious and by the time you leave the session you are able to better cope with your inner feelings. I offer a safe place for you to explore and share your experiences helping you make the changes you really want for yourself to live a fulfilled life.

Specialising: I have significant experience in working with Abuse, Anxiety, Asperger's/Autism, Anger, Depression, Stress, Bullying, Self-Harm, Bereavement, Relationship issues, Work-related issues, Cultural struggles and identity, Low self-esteem, Confidence, Phobias and Trauma.
Therapy: A person-centred practising counsellor for over 16 years, working with Adults, Adolescents and Children (5 years upwards) from a wide variety of backgrounds and ethnicities. I believe it is a strength to be able to ask for help when we are struggling.  I will offer you a warm, friendly and compassionate service whereby you will have an opportunity to explore what is troubling you, understand your thoughts and feelings around this and hopefully commence your journey towards happiness and "inner-peace".
